Dee Dee Bridgewater Bronx Concert reviews
I love Anthony, but....
This was my first time experiencing a live performance by Dee Dee Bridgewater. I've heard stories of amazing shows. He did pretty well during this one. However, the ticket time was 7p. He didn't come on stage until after 9p. The two opening acts were both subpar. The group performed for too long, appeared unsure about their style, and were not the ideal vocalists for the songs they chose. The second performer had a scattered performance. He rambled on excessively and assumed that everyone was familiar with what he was talking about, though few, if any, actually were. I didn't spend $100 on a ticket just to sit through a pre-show featuring unknown singers that dragged on longer than my time with Dee Dee Bridgewater. I left feeling quite disappointed with the evening I had invested in.
